3. Purpose of the Lex AI Solution
Lex AI is intended as an auxiliary tool for searching, analysing, processing and understanding legal sources, regulations, documents and other legally relevant information. Lex AI can assist the User in legal research, preparation of analyses, locating relevant regulations, understanding legal concepts and processing legal questions.
Lex AI does not replace the independent professional judgment of the User, a lawyer, or any other party authorized to provide legal assistance under the applicable laws of the Republic of Serbia. Use of the Lex AI Solution does not establish a lawyer-client relationship between the User and the Provider.
4. Nature of responses
The responses, explanations and other content generated by Lex AI constitute auxiliary, informational and working results produced by the automatic processing of a query and the available sources.
Responses of the Lex AI Solution do not constitute a final legal opinion, legal advice, an official interpretation of regulations, any guarantee of the outcome of any proceedings, or a binding position of the Provider.
The User is required to independently verify every response before using it in professional work, communication with third parties, the preparation of legal acts, decision-making, or the taking of any legal action.
5. System limitations
The User accepts that Lex AI, as an artificial-intelligence based system, may produce a response that is inaccurate, incomplete, imprecise, irrelevant or inapplicable to a specific case.
For these reasons, no response from the Lex AI Solution may be used without expert human verification.
6. Legal sources
Lex AI uses currently applicable national-level regulations, case law and official opinions, which are integrated through the Paragraf Lex platform and maintained by its editorial team.
Although the sources themselves are reliable and regularly maintained, Lex AI may, for a specific question, select a source that is not the most relevant, omit a significant source, or misinterpret the relationship between several sources.
The User is required, where appropriate, to verify whether all relevant sources have been invoked for a specific question, and to independently determine the applicable interpretation, relevant case law, and positions of competent authorities when the seriousness of the decision or proceedings so requires.
7. User responsibility
The User is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and legality of the data they submit to Lex AI.
The User is responsible for interpreting, verifying and applying the responses received from the Lex AI Solution, as well as for all decisions, documents, legal acts, submissions, contracts, opinions, advice, notices, correspondence and other actions they prepare or take on the basis of or with the help of the Lex AI Solution.
The User must not present a response from the Lex AI Solution as the official position of a court, public authority, legislator, lawyer, legal counsel, the Provider, or any other authorized person.
8. Professional use
If the User uses Lex AI within a law firm, legal department, public authority, company, institution or other organization, they are required to use the system in accordance with the rules of their profession, internal acts, contractual obligations and applicable regulations.
Use of the Lex AI Solution does not release the User from any professional, disciplinary, contractual, tortious or other liability arising from their work.
The User is required to ensure that the results of the Lex AI Solution are not used as the sole basis for making decisions that produce legal, financial, business or other significant consequences for natural or legal persons.
9. Confidential, personal and sensitive data

The User must not submit to Lex AI any data they are not entitled to use, process or disclose.
When submitting data on natural persons, clients, employees, parties to proceedings, business partners or other third parties, the User is responsible for ensuring that there is an appropriate legal basis and authority for such processing.
Where possible, the User should anonymize or pseudonymize data before submitting it to the system, especially where the identity of a natural or legal person is not necessary for resolving the specific question.

- to copy, extract, mass-download or otherwise misuse the content, databases, models, algorithms or functionalities of the system beyond the permitted use;
- to train, develop or improve a competing product, unless expressly permitted under a separate agreement;
- in a manner that may cause overloading, disruption or impairment of the system's operation.

12. Changes to the system
The Provider may modify, improve or adjust certain functionalities of the system for the purposes of maintenance, security, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, or for other legitimate reasons.
The User accepts that the way the system operates, the scope of functionalities, the available sources, the quality of responses and the user experience may change over time.
13. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the Lex AI Solution - including the software code, models, algorithms, documentation, trademarks, visual identity and other components of the system - belong to the Provider, or to its licensors, and are protected by applicable copyright and industrial property laws.
The User retains the rights they have under the law to the data and documents they submit to the system. The User does not acquire any rights in the system, the models or the infrastructure of the Provider by virtue of using the Lex AI Solution.
Content generated by Lex AI is provided to the User on an "as-is" basis. The Provider does not warrant that the generated content does not infringe third-party rights; the User is required, before use, to verify whether the use of such content may infringe copyright, related rights, trademarks or other rights of third parties, and assumes responsibility for the consequences of use.
The User must not perform reverse engineering, decompilation, disassembly, extraction of models or databases, or otherwise attempt to reconstruct the system, except to the extent expressly permitted by mandatory law.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider is not liable for any damage, loss, expense, lost profit, missed opportunity, infringement of third-party rights or other consequences arising from the uncritical, improper, unlawful or unverified use of responses and content generated through the Lex AI Solution.
This limitation does not exclude or limit any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, nor liability for intentional or grossly negligent conduct of the Provider.
15. Changes to these Terms
The Provider may amend these Terms of Use for the purposes of aligning them with regulations, system changes, business needs, or to improve protection of the User.
The User will be notified of material changes in an appropriate manner - through a notice on the website, through the Paragraf Lex platform, or by other reasonable means. By continuing to use the Lex AI Solution after the amended Terms take effect, the User confirms acceptance of the amended Terms.
